Astonished by the limited options for quick and convenient quality coffee in a city with a traffic and commuter lifestyle, husband and wife duo Marshall and Lexi saw an opportunity, and the concept for Clutch City Coffee was born.  Marshall and Lexi relocated from Alaska, where there is a drive-thru coffee shop on nearly every corner, and determined to recreate that experience in Houston with Clutch City Coffee. Their vision was simple: shop small, shop local, and serve quality.

This concept is paired with the latest calibrated espresso system available to ensure drink consistency, texture, volume, and ready-to-drink temperature, along with two-each-way service windows. Thus, Clutch City Coffee is able to deliver to the customer consistently and confidently which means we strive to get customers in and out in under two minutes, keeping customers satisfied and on the go.

As a business that was born locally, Clutch City Coffee is committed to supporting exclusively local businesses. Our coffee beans, breakfast tacos, pastries, building contractors, baristas — you name it — they all come from Houston. The name Clutch City Coffee is a reference to the legendary Houston Rockets’ 90s winning streak, while the colors and logo mirror the Houston Astros’ “Tequila Sunrise” jersey. These references are tributes representing our own unique approach and contribution to the City of Houston. Customers are invited to come to Clutch City Coffee not only to enjoy a high-quality product, but also to share the same Houston pride upon which we were founded.
